Pieces of My Home

This morning I took pictures of some of my own furniture that I have painted. This old buffet has had many looks over the years, today it happens to be white! Actually, the many layers of paint applied to this piece have given it beautiful texture and depth. The Virgin Mary statue on the buffet has been painted too.

This stenciled Bombay chest is one of a pair. Here, I worked with layers of paint and gold leaf while also using a designer stencil. The look is especially old and worn....it's beautiful!

This is an old pine hutch that I painted in layers of gray and white. The carving across the top adds detail and makes this piece much more interesting once painted. Inside, I have hung some of my transferware platters collected years ago.
The only problem is, everything from my doorknob to my television clicker has a touch of paint on it!
